FSCJ Fall 2019 Applicants

Hello all

I created this post to get connected with other potential nursing students. Plus, I am stressing out a little bit waiting on acceptance/denial letters and don't know anyone else who applied for the program.

Look forward to hearing from all of you.

Goodluck!

Hey! I applied for the Fall 2019 semester as well. This is the first post I’ve been able to find regarding it. I applied with 148 points, I hope it’s competitive. I’ve looked over all the past forums for info to ease my mind so I’m excited to talk with fellow applicants as well.

From what I’ve read and heard with 148 you’re in no problem. I’m 26 and I’m on the line at 133 because of chem and mac1105 (c’s) from 2011 . I did all my other pre-reqs this past year after getting out of the military and received As and Bs and did very well on the HESI (so it’s obvious I’m a much more dedicated student 8 years later but I’m doubtful that will sway the reviewers my way) I’m a little worried those grades from so long ago are going to end up biting me in the a** :/

truly though, I think you’re more than ok and I wouldn’t stress it.

I applied for Fall 2019 also! I applied with 150 pts, so hoping I get accepted. Hopefully they get the acceptance/denial letters out soon because I am so anxious ?.

At 150 you have nothing to worry about. Also, they said mid to late June for letters.

I’m going to create a Facebook group for fall 2019 hopefuls.

I’m 24 and returning to college so I know that feeling. I goofed off when I first started out of high school and made bad grades, but when I returned I did well so I completely understand hoping they see the change over the years. If you did well on the HESI I’m sure they would note that as well! Have you considered retaking the courses you made C’s in? I took a chemistry again to pull it up from a C.

I’m freaking out because I did a lot of my prerequisites in high school as AP classes. They count all of those as B’s which put a damper on my “points”? I’m sitting at 138 and some change

I just rec'd an email saying I was denied b/c of not taking two courses. I took the two courses and sent the transcripts in. Anyone else in this situation?

Nope I haven’t received an email at all except the confirmation email when I sent in my app.

Hey everyone has anyone heard anything else??? I’m so tired of looking at my email?
