I am seriously considering applying to the CNM program at Frontier. I'm leaning towards Frontier because of the excellent reputation they have for education. I have talked to some students from other tracks at Frontier and I know the course load seems to be intense. My question is what kind of work-life balance do you guys experience as a CNM student at Frontier? I work full time, 3 12 hour shifts a week. I have an 8yo daughter and my husband JUST started a pharmacy residency. I am trying to get an idea of what time commitment this will be and how I will work it into my life schedule.
I have been reading as much as I can find about how frontier works and it sounds like they have video chat classes sometimes? Do you have to log in at specific times each week for class or is it more along the lines of "do these assignments by this deadline"? I would love as much info as possible about the setup of the program, the flow, how it all works, etc. Do you continue to work full time? Do you see your family?? How much time a day/week do you guess you devote to school? Please share all info/advice you can think of!
I dream about becoming a midwife daily and I really feel led to this profession. I just want to make sure I take the leap into school at the right time and with all of the resources and support I need! Thanks in advance!
