Forensic Nursing Programs

Hi! I was wondering if anyone could provide a list of schools that offer a master's degree in forensic nursing? I am aware of the many different certificates and certifications that are out there, but I also interested in advancing my education towards a higher degree. I am also interested in other people's opinion if you think a master's degree in forensic nursing is worth it? Or can I perform the same jobs without getting a higher degree?

An internet search for nursing forensics programs returns quite a few results. The first few that included MSN degrees were Duquesne University and Xavier University. I'm sure there were many more on the list. Of any program you look into, you will want to make sure it is accredited. There are also many certificate programs for forensics nursing. Whether it's worth it depends on how you view it.

Rose Queen thank you for your response. I did an internet search before turning to this website, but I was having trouble organizing the information. Do you know of any programs in the pacific northwest? I know it's up to me, but I was curious about other people's opinions. New perspectives spark new ideas.

Forensic nursing isn't a field that interests me nor am I anywhere near the Pacific northwest, so I can't help you there. What you can do is go to this site: CCNE - Accredited Programs and look for accredited schools in your state. Then you can go to each school's website and see what MSN tracks they offer to see if forensics is an option. It's going to require a little effort, but it's probably the best way to get accurate information.
