Foreign RN and NCLEX

Published

Hi Suzanne, long time I didn't read this website,I got confused to go to International nurses forum, it's really different than before but I was looking about your name as a reference.

I just want to ask about The NCLEX application.

I applied for Texas board online and got the confirmation for licence application. They sent my CES report from the CGFNS to the Texas board also, but texas board didn't tell me anything yet.

I registered thru Peterson and got the confirmation but I didn't put a date for the exam because I am waiting to receive the ATT from the Texas board.

My question is :should I put a date since now with Peterson for the exam or I should wait for ATT ?

Also how long should I wait for the ATT,if they didn't send it to me ?

I was wsihing to do my exam after 3 months but you think when I receive the ATT I have only 75days?not more?

Thank you in advance,

Texas does not send the ATT, that actually is sent out by Pearson-Vue once you have been approved to sit for the exam, and you have paid the fee to Pearson-Vue. You cannot set a date with Pearson-Vue until they have been given authorization by Texas BON that you can take the exam. You need the ATT to be able to set a date to test.

I normally do not recommend that anyone register with Pearson-Vue until they actually get a letter from their BON that they meet the requirements for licensure, except for taking the exam.

Not sure where you are getting 75 days from, never only that amount of time.

Nice to see you posting again. We have gotten much larger here since you have been around.

Thank you Suzanne.
