For all the rejects out there...

DO NOT GIVE UP!!! I received my 2nd rejection letter a couple of weeks ago...I was not even granted an interview for either! The letter basically said-good luck finding another career...That's okay, because I already was accepted elsewhere, but I gotta say, it did make me mad!!! After I graduate and pass my boards, I am going to write those schools that felt I wasn't even worth their time to interview a letter and include a copy of my CRNA license!!! Anyways, the moral of the story is don't give up if you aren't even being granted interviews. There will be a school that is a good fit for you, that sees your heart and your potential. I found one, and so can you!

snookiepie....you go!

Congrats snookiepie! Obviously the school that accepted you saw something special in you that the others didn't. Way to go!:yeah::clpty:

I'm still in an initial licensure nursing program, but OP's post reminds me a bit of my experience applying to nursing programs. I applied to three state schools (in my home state) along with a few out-of-state programs. I applied with a 3.0 GPA, which isn't stellar compared to other applicants. Hence, the state schools basically turned up their noses at me when I applied. Well, the program in which I am currently enrolled (a more highly ranked program to begin with) took all aspects of my application portfolio into consideration and was the first program to mail me an acceptance letter. Serves those state school right- it's their loss, after all.
