Following up after interview

I could use some help please...

I had a interview last Tuesday for OR position. My interview was almost 9 hours in the OR. I worked with various staff in different surgeries etc After lunch I went in office and interviewed with Nurse Manager of OR and Nursing Director of the surgery dept. I think it went well was told they were hiring for 2 positions and had 3 candidates interviewing. She said I would hear from her by end of next week (which is today Friday). My question is should I give her a follow up call today or wait til Monday or not call at all?? I really need this job and I am going crazy waiting to hear something! Does this mean I dont have the job? I just dont want to annoy her but I want her to be reminded of me and my willingness to start immediately etc. What is appropriate to do?

This is my first time posting in the 7 years or so that I have been on here so I hope i get some answers...Please! Thanks sooo much-

If the deadline for a response is today, I would wait until about 3 pm, then call. If you can't get through, leave a message, then call back in the morning on Monday. Good luck.

This is a long way past your post but...did you get the job??? This was good for me to read because I tend to get lax about keeping up with post interview follow ups. I forget how much people are awaiting a reply. Thanks for the reminder!
