FNP pre-studying?

Published

So I've just been accepted into an MSN-FNP program, but it doesnt start for another several months. My background so far is 4 years in heme/onc, and just passed my 2.5 year mark in a neuro/pulm ICU.

Are there some general study materials that anyone might recommend that I could use to get a jump on things?

Specializes in oncology, med-surg, clinical trials.

I've applied but haven't heard back yet. My plan to get a jump on things is to do as many APP-level CEUs as I can that are offered by my workplace. I'm lucky b/c I work at an academic center that puts on CEUs, and employees can attend for free). Because they're educational programs designed for clinicians to efficiently get info + can have a lot of interesting case studies, I feel kind of like they're stat pearls + context, which will help them stick better.  I can also have the video presentations on in the background and listen to them multiple times while doing other things. I study well from books and note-taking, but I think since there's not the urgency of actually being in the program yet, I need an approach that will be a bit more engaging.
