FNP to GNP?

Published

Hi all

i am new to this forum. I have started my FNP program but what I want to really do is the gerontological nursing practitioner program. My school does not offer the latter. Do I go ahead and complete the FNP program and do a certification in AGNP later or do I transfer to another school? (have done 5 classes already) If the latter, pls a suggestion on a good online college in NJ would be appreciated. Thanks

Are you trolling? GNP is being phased out for Adult/Gero programs. Did your school not review the APRN Consensus Model with you?

I actually meant the adult gerontological program. I started out with nursing informatics and changed to FNP last year.
