i just accepted my placement into school. i understand that i have to maintain a 3.0 average gpa or i will be dropped. someone also told me that school is very very hard. at first i wasnt nervous, but now i am! i am scared i wont be able to maintain that average......i am not super smart, and i work fulltime. anyone on the same boat? thoughts?

Yes these programs are difficult but I wouldn't go into a program with the self doubt of "can I do this" but rather go into them with the determination that "I'm going to do this." If you enter with a great amount of fear and self doubt, you are most likely setting yourself up for failure.

Also, make sure you understand the grade policies of any program you are considering. Yes in graduate school you are expected to maintain a 3.0 GPA, but most programs that I considered - including the one that I'm currently attending - have a progression policy that a grade of B or better be made in each class to progress. In most graduate programs if you make a C in one class and an A in another then the average would still be 3.0, but does the program you consider only allow students to progress with a 3.0 average or require a grade of B or better in each class?

Best of luck.
