FIU AOBSN Fall 2021

Hi guys!

Gonna share my stats:

Nursing prereq GPA: 3.84 

GPA of my bachelors from FIU: 3.55

TEAS score: 86.7%

No volunteer hours but I’ve been employed in a doctor’s office setting with direct patient care for 2 years.

We’ve got pretty similar stats! FIU is one of my top choices. I wonder if we’ll hear back in August or September...I’m hoping August haha. 

Same here! And I know, Christian had told me last time we spoke that we would find out late August/Early September. Praying it’s sooner rather than later

I called FIU just to see where everything is in terms of my app and was told that they are 3/4 of the way done reviewing applicants & we should know decisions by early August. 

To share my stats, 

Pre Req GPA: 3.71

Overall GPA: 3.39 (from UCF) 

TEAS overall 80%

OMG!! Thank you for letting us know! Now I’m nervous LOL but super happy we’ll know sooner than we thought we would. We got this guys ?

Do we have any idea how many applicants they had this year?

Oh my gosh thank you for letting us know! They mentioned applications would be reviewed once the deadline passed. The deadline was July 1st and they are already 3/4 way done reviewing applications. It's only been about 7 days! It doesn't seem like there were too many applicants this season because of the short time it took to review the apps.

However, even though they mentioned apps are looked at after the deadline, they still could have looked at it before July 1st LOL. I'm not sure if what I said is a reach haha.

I agree with you that apps were probably looked at before July 1st if they are ¾ way done. That's a good thing so that we get results faster LOL. Good luck everyone!

I agree with you guys, they are getting through it super fast for it to only be July 9th. Does anyone know how we find out about decisions? Through email?

Also, after reading past year’s forums I noticed that everyone’s MYFIU application changed to “deferred to the department for decision” after the deadline for the application but mine has said deferred since sometime in June. Maybe this is some indication that they actually have seen them before July 1st?
