I always pretend I am wrapping a huge present. It seems to help me with the direction of the fold. If you don't have a regular type of bed at home to practice, practice, practice, then you could always try to use the couch cushions. That way you could just practice repitition by going from one cushion to the next, and so on.
The best of luck to you and your education. You will get it down in no time!
Also, we are given practice time before we are evaluated. Are you unsure of if they give you practice time?
There is a nursing student thread here. The students here are more than willing to help with your concerns. At the tippytop of this page, there is a row of blue "buttons" to guide you through the forum. Put your arrow on "Nursing Discusions". You will see "Nursing Student Forums" a little more than 1/2 way down the list. Click on that and be prepared to be addicted!!!

Take everything one day at a time. Tackle one task at a time. Does your school have a practice lab? Mine did. I, along with a couple of friends used to stay after class and practice for check offs. If we ever had a question if we were doing something right or not, we would find an instructor and ask her to come and watch us and give feedback. I just graduated from an ADN program in May 2005, so it is still fresh in my mind how much stress you are under. My best advice, as I wrote earlier, is to take everything one day and one task at a time so as not to get too overwhelmed. Let me know if you have any other questions.:) :balloons:
thank you very much
