I am so happy and anxious at the same time.. this is my first ever job interview and I dont know what to expect.. I need your help guys.. What are the commonly asked questions? Any tips? advice? I badly need one.. I hope you can send me a reply.. And please do pray for me.. I really need a job right now.. :crying2:

I just had an interview last week. I was the nervous too; I think we all are. My advise is to, obviously, look good... seem composed but act natural. I went so crazy making sure I looked perfect that I didn't seem as nervous talking. I try to look at the interviewer as a regular person, not someone is deciding my fate (although they are).

My nurse manager asked me a bunch of clinical questions. That was kind of scary. I just took nclex three weeks ago and I felt it all over again, only this time on the fly. lol.

Utimatley, I got the job on telemetry. I'm not sure if it's cause they really need people or I did well during my interview.

I think you will do ok. Don't overkill yourself with anxiety. Do some self affirmation...tell yourself you are awesome. Good luck.

I just had my first interview last week and had my second yesterday, needless to say it was the scariest thing. I went over common nursing questions that I found through this site. On my first interview I was asked questions like; Why did you choose this facility? Why did you choose to become a nurse? Not too hard. On my second interview with the nurse manager it was different. What do you think of CNA's? Different what if's, what would I do etc. My friend even got asked about a med. Just try to stay relaxed and remember to smile, everyone likes a friendly face. Breathe, you can do it!
