first intubation

I am in my first semester and we do three mentor days with a sr student this summer. I got intubate two of our cases yesterday. It was a surreal feeling somebody handing you the handle/blade and ett tube after spending 4 years giving it to somebody else. I could feel my heart racing in my throat with the srna, crna and mda watching me. I have only played with the dummies for ACLS and PALS. The first one was easy; second one was little more difficult but got both of them. The mda keep messing with me telling everybody was 100% lifetime success rate.

lol didnt think of it that way

Congratz!

When I was a paramedic my preceptor told me to record all m intubations with a little note so i could look back on them. Totally worth it! Start now!

Two tubes on your first two attempts!? It took me weeks to get my first one! Congratulations!
