First Interview...Please Help

Published

Hi fellow nurses.

I'm having my very first interview in a couple of days and I need help. I earned an ADN degree and my nursing license back in 2012 but was not able to get a job. In 2013 I went back to school and earned my BSN. NOW, I have graduated over a year ago and I have not being able to get a job (maybe because I have no experience in the health care field unlike many of my former classmates who were CNAs). The problem is that I feel I have forgotten a lot of the knowledge I learned, especially in the ADN program which was more a hands on program.

I REALLY NEED THIS JOB...PLEASE HELP!

Can anyone help? What kind of questions can they possibly ask a new grad?

Thanks!!:)

This is a great interview guide. I used it to prepare. It has a comprehensive list of general and behavioral questions. If you think through answers to questions on pages 5-7, you should be in good shape.

Also, don't forget to research the agency you are interviewing with, think about why you would want to work there.

Also think of questions that you would like to ask. What is important to you?

Bestest of luck!!!
