First Impression

A common question regarding interviews is "tell us about yourself", what are some successful tips to answer this question and make a great first impression during the interview?

Just answer the question as honestly. I usually start off by saying " Most people describe me as ( fill in the blank).

Tell me something memorable about you...examples: health related missionary mission to Africa, ex-military paramedic, created a medical type iphone app, volunteer at a homeless shelter for last several years, etc. All true & memorable facts from people that interviewed. ?

P.S. Also interviewed someone who came looking like they just worked out...dressed in a fancy name brand track suit & hair in a super messy bun. Memorable but unfavorable impression!
