First hospital interview!! Help!

HEY GUYS!! THIS IS MY FIRST POST HERE ON ALLNURSES!! WOO!

AFTER 7 MONTHS OF CNA EXPERIENCE I GOT A CALL BACK FROM MY FIRST CHOICE HOSPITAL!

Currently I have been working at a assisted living/skilled nursing home which i love about 12-15 residents per CNA with 2-3 showers per shift.

i got a call today from the RN manager from the medsurg floor its a full time 3-1130pm shift working every other weekend :geek: and i have a interview on monday! I'm so excited but am really nervous! what should i be expecting and what are some good questions i can have for her. what should i wear too i want to look professional but not too dressy! thanks guys!

Being a PCT is different and similar to a CNA in LTC stress that you're comfortable working as part a team in stressful situations and include any contributions you've made to your community. Be positive! Exude sunshine! Express your want to further your education if that's the case too! A willingness and want to learn is aka way an asset.

Good luck!!!

thank you :) I'm so happy and so surprised i got the call!!

Congrats I will be starting as a PCT on a med surg unit soon. Stay positive just answer all the questions using your own experience and be your self. Dress professional no jeans. Questions for her- what are they looking for in a pct? What are some of the duties? Can you shadow any one to get a look at the unit and what you will be doing? How does the job compare to what you are already used to. Good Luck!!!
