First care plan

I am really struggling with this careplan I have due tomorrow. My patient has ovarian cancer and a distended stomach, diagnosed with a bowel obstruction (main complaint).

I am not sure what to do for my nursing diagnoses.

Any help is much appreciated!

    Welcome to AN! The most important detail about nursing care plans is that they are not dependent on the medical diagnosis; rather, they are dependent upon the nursing assessment of the patient. This is why two patients with the same medical diagnosis will not have an identical nursing care plan.
