Finding Preceptors

Hello everyone! I'm currently in the NP Adult/Gero Primary Care program at UTA. I reside in the San Antonio, TX area. Anyone out there know of any good NP or MD preceptors within the area that you've worked with present or past?

Thanks!

Amber

How far outside San Antonio are you willing to travel?

Hi, thank you for your reply!! Honestly, at this point it’s been very difficult to secure or find preceptors- and I’m a year out before I start (Jan 2021)! I would be willing to travel atleast 50 miles, but anything is negotiable right now.

Well I just finished my AGPCNP program and have 3 preceptors' names here in the Houston area (2 internal medicine doctors and 1 long term care NP). If you're interested, let me know.

I found your comment about preceptors in the Houston area. I am in Austin in the UTA FNP program. I'm willing to travel to anywhere in Texas to find a preceptor for Fall 2020 and Spring 2021.

Do you know if they are still available or how to contact them.

Thank you!

Private message me and I'll give you some names to contact.

I got your message and thank you for the offer to message you but it may take me a while to send you a message since I am new to the group. I believe I have to post 15 substantial posts before I can PM you. ?

Hey Susan,

I understand. I was able to send you a PM but not sure if you can read it and/or respond. Hopefully you can at least read it. Let me know ?

Got your message LadyT618 & replied!
