Finding a job

Hi I'm looking into becoming a crna and obviously most schools require at least a year as an icu or such rn and I am wondering if it is possible to become a icu or other acute care rn right out of college as I am looking to make the process to crna as quick as I safely can I would have a bsn if that helps at all.

    Depends on where you are at as location makes a huge difference on how hard or easy it is to get a job as a new grad. Having a BSN does help a lot though.

    I would recommend that you do 1 year in a CVT/Tele step down, then one year in a CTICU. It will give you a huge amount of experience in the moderately critical areas and then later on down the line in the VERY critical areas. This seems to be the normal pathway for nurses that want to fast track it into CRNA school.
