FINALLY.

I am a graduate from a BSN program last December 2010. I passed my NCLEX with flying colors in February. And for more than a year of job hunting (mind you, I started job hunting prior to even starting my last semester of nursing school) I got a job! I just want everyone that is still job hunting to know... don't give up. I sent trillions of online applications without getting a single call. I've gone on countless interviews for hospital and clinics. I've sent clinics my resume directly. My family and close friends who know people at hospitals have been trying to help me out. But really, this ended up on luck. The program I applied for had finished interviewing and called people for offers but (THANK THE LORD) these individuals already took offers elsewhere. So, they ended up looking back into their pile of applicants who applied recently and I got a call. I've noticed that, based off my experience alone, if you don't hear anything within applying for a position for a week, then you probably don't have an interview. AND, interviews do NOT equal getting the position. So don't sit around waiting for the call... take whatever you can get and keep on applying!

Best of luck everyone! :nurse:

Congratulations! That's very encouraging to hear now that I'm in the same situations you were in.

Congrats on the job! I needed to read a post like this to know that there is a glimmer of hope.
