Finally!!!

RELAX!!! Talk to your boss and explain. Maybe they can take you off the schedule so you don't have to call in.

Well after a very long time of waiting (I graduated October 1st) I finally got my ATT today. I got a test date very quickly. I am scheduled to test Tuesday 12/16 at 8am. I have to work Saturday, Sunday and Monday before this. I am thinking about calling off Monday. I have wanted this for so long and worked and fought so hard...so why am I so scared? I am crying my eyes out as I type this so afraid of the next few days....

Any words of wisdom or encouragement would be much apperciated!

don't let yourself be scared; even though its human nature to be afraid of what we don't know, you have as you said : wanted this for so long", I can remember taking my boards, i was so scared i almost didnt go into the testing center :smackingf

But i am so glad i did, i have been a practicing LPN for 18 yrs now & wouldnt change it for the world!

I remember when i got the letter that would give me my test results, i left home (married w/ 2 kids mind you) and drove to a gas station & called my best friend to talk to me while i opened the letter ............ :lol_hitti

If you need the time off, tell the supervisor you need to take some time for your studies to prepare for your exam, see if you can get someone to work for you?

If not, explain that you will need to be off those days, you are sorry you have to call off but your license is your 1st priority...... if they know in advance they may find it noble to allow them to find replacements or switches for you , instead of last minute call offs that are always hard to cover, ( i know i am assistant supervisor i just worked 18 hrs last night because of a call off)..
