Welcome to Allnurses.com:balloons: Glad to have you here. Highly recommend that you do some reading here before you start any process. And please read the sticky at the top of this forum called the Primer. There is much information that you do not know and can be found there.
NCLEX is a national exam, and is not state specific. There is no CA NCLEX. Only one exam that is given and is accepted by all fifty states. Each exam is designed and questions given based on how you previously answered quesitons, so each exam is different in that respect. But that has to do with you, not for the state that you take it for, and where you actually write the exam.
And we never recommend CA for any foreign grad.. Will take about four months for you to get approved to even sit for the NCLEX exam, and then since you do not have a SSN#, it will be another four weeks until you get your results.
For any help with preparing for the NCLEX-RN exam, please use the NCLEX Forum that we have here. You will find it very helpful to use that forum.
Best of luck to you.
