Wow I just made a tough discussion. I basically decided to take this cna program instead of hearing about this other job I probably was going to get.
Well I'm a step closer to becoming a nurse! Classes start Sept. 8 and i'm siked. I also got a huge discount on the class. All the scholarships were done I guess...I dunno. But instead of paying $900 I only need to pay $200 and the waiting list for the class was crazy.
So yea i'm excited...Even though i'm not certified yet, would I be able to put on my nursing school application that I took a cna program?

I think you have to check with your school.
I can apply without certification but I have to obtain it before classes will begin.
I am taking CNA classes in Fall. My schools will be requiring CNA certification from FALL 2009. I was lucky and I registered for class in July. For today is 21 people on waitlist! It is crazy! I have hope that because of that change in requirements some people won't get that certification or will forget about it. That way students like me will have opportunity to start nursing program much quicker :)
Thanks for replying. Good luck with everything :)
