FGCU Spring 2014 applicants

Hello!

I just recently applied for Florida Gulf Coast University's Spring 2014 BSN program. Definitely freaked out because it's the only school i'm applying for and really anxious to start nursing school (as I'm sure most of you are).

I have a cumulative GPA of 3.45 and prereq about 3.6. Teas program percentile is 84 (Did not do as well as I hoped I would)

Anyone else applied? I'm curious about the GPA/ Teas program percentile stats of any applicants.

this is also the only school i am applying for and my gpa is 3.43 cum with a 86 overall score for the teas.

it says that my percentile ranking is 96 for national and 97 for program, but it was for the ADN program. I had the advisor switched to the BSN program and they didn't tell me what my new ranking is tho.

Hey! Good to hear from you. Your stats look very similar to mine. Do you have any idea how many students FGCU takes for spring and also how many typically apply? Just wondering what the odds are...

i don't really know, but i did heard someone posted on this website from last semester that they accepted 25 during spring and 50 during fall. you should try to call them and get back to me and let's keep each other updated

Oh wow, only 25 in spring? I will try to call them tomorrow and ask.

I was told that they accept up to 99 students per year and that the amount of students per semester varies. With Fall being the bigger class, they will accept about 30 applicants for the Spring semester. I asked how many applicants they had for spring and was told about 130-140.

wow.... that's crazy.... i hope we both get in.. what was your overall scores and scores for each section if you don't mind me asking since we have the same gpa?

I know it makes me really nervous that they only accept 30 for Spring... Hope we both get in as well! My adjusted score is 82.7%.. Reading 81.0%, Math 86.7%, Science 81.3%, English 83.3%. Disappointed in my reading score because I ran out of time and had to guess on the last 6 or so questions :/ What were yours?

wow.. we are practically the same.. my adjusted score is 86. reading is 88.1, math is 93.3, science is 79.2, and english language usage is 86.7. it says that all my is percentile ranking is above 90s for both program and national. 1 month and 3 weeks to wait. i still can't believe they only accept 30 tho.... out of 130-140 applicants

looking up in past posts and there were someone who got in with a 3.01 gpa and a 90 on the teas.. and other people that had the same gpa or a little lower with lower teas score got in, but i really don't know since every year it changes

Yeah I've read a lot of the boards and noticed people having about the same GPA's or a little higher. I asked what the average was for fall 2013 and I believe she told me about 3.5-3.6 (with some having higher and some having lower). Of course it's going to depend on the pool of applicants they have this time... I really hope I get in because I literally don't have another plan right now. Kind of regret not applying for Fall seeing as how they accept more people.
