Fearful

Hi everyone,

I'm new here and I'm glad to be apart of this wonderful community. I'm a pre-nursing student and I'm taking the TEAS in July. I'm really nervous about it. I'm scared of failing. At my school, you can only take the TEAS one time only. So, my nerves are sky high. I bought some study material about a month or so ago, and I've been studying like crazy. I'm so scared of not getting into the program. Nursing is my dream.

My QPA is a 3.8 and my class rank is 15 out of 67 students. I'm not sure if this will help me if all goes wrong during the test.

any advice would be appreciated

sincerely

First of all, calm down. Sounds like you're studying hard and that's important so you're half way there. Take it one topic at a time and cross it out once you've gone over it. In a week, go over the topics again and see how much you remembered. Try finding online examples test and good luck!

Ya, Tyler. You sound like you are finishing high school. (With mentioning your class ranking). The test really isn't that hard, especially for someone fresh out of all the topics they test on (english, math, science, etc), and someone using study aids.

I was out of school 12 years (no math or anything), and scored 88.something. I didn't study at all. That was because we are allowed to take it twice here. I figured I would retake it if I didn't like my first score. Well, 88% ranked me in the 97th percentile in the field in the country. So I decided not to retake.

It sounds like you will likely score much higher with all your recent schooling and studying. You will be fine! Stressing over it is what could mess you up, so take some breaths and trust in yourself. ;)

Also, if you're not a nurse, please change your username--misrepresentation of educational preparation or licensure here is prohibited.
