FCCA (i hope I am saying this right!!) haha What is it? A cumulitive final??? Is it a nursing exam comprised of all the thigs we have tested on in the past? Where can I find a study guide for this???

According to the catalog, the Focused Clinical Competencies Assessment (FCCA) is a three-part exam. The catalog also says it's computer-based, but it never has been. I think you'll get it in the mail and have something like 10 days to complete it. I didn't have to take it (before my time, different curriculum), but I do know that students can't really discuss it due to the academic honesty policy, but they've all said to not overthink it. There is also apparently a toll-free number to call if you get stuck, but they can't really tell you too much. I'm sure some of the others here can tell you which books they used most for the FCCA. You are almost there!! :)

Thank you, for anyone out there that has taken it...what did you use to study and is there a study guide to download like there is for the other exams? Thank you!

Nope, it's an open book test that they mail to you via UPS. You have 10 days to do it. It seems really vague, but I promise it's REALLY as easy as it looks. Don't sweat it, it's an easy 4 credits :-)

I used the Mosby's care plan book and the Taylor's fundamentals books. That's all you need for it!

Thanks Beachnurse!! You have finished the program correct??? If so, where did you test? I am planning to test somewhere in NY since I am right next door (MA):D

Yes I am all done!! :-) I took my CPNE in Syracuse, NY and I LOVED it.. it was nothing like it's made out to be, it was very positive experience for me... would recommend that site to anyone.
