Well, I got the results today and I failed. Completely overwhelmed. I studied each day for a month and a half for at least an hour and a 1/2. I took a review course, practiced with the cd's and had the kaplan, saunders, and lippencott books. I really felt prepared. Now what?
How long do I have to wait before I can re-register. NY is 45 days before I can take it again but can I register. I don't see the answer at pearson's website and received nothing from them yet.
Anybody else fail the first time?
Shut off at 265 so I thought that was good because at least I knew I wasn't failing.
How did you get through it?

I think they'll send you a packet with information in the mail about re-registering. You'll also get information about areas you were weak in... go over that material first. Don't buy anymore books.... you've got really good resources. I'd also analyze how you studing... meaning if you had a lot of distraction.. go somewhere else, or even the time of day you studied. Hang in there! (I hope my suggestions help)

Well Sun, I failed at first and second time taken the test. Both times I got 265 questions and the third time got 75. I used the Kaplan online study plan this time. Not just the book. The online offers seven different test that are alot simular to the NCLEX. In my opinion Kaplan is so good when I went to take my test this last time it was like taking one of the Kaplan practice test. I REALLY feel your pain x 2. Just take a few day get yourself together and figure out what you need to do. Is is content or test taking. If it's content or test taking in my opinion Kaplan will help.
Thanks for your words of wisdom. I can't imagine going through it 3 times. Your a much better stronger person than me. But it does encourage me to know that it can be done. Thank you. I do have the kaplan book and I will try that this time.
Thank you for the info. I am NOT buying anymore books. I have my own personal library here. I can't wait to sell them all when I finally pass. I have quite a fortune invested. Thank you for your advice.......every little bit helps.
Have a great weekend. :)
