Failed Out of nursing school

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Published

So I am currently in my third semester of nursing school at UTA, unfortunately, I am in danger of failing 2 classes this semester, which would kick me out of the program for 5 years. I'm doing all I can to at least pass the class that I have a higher chance of passing in because I rather fail one class and continue with the program than being kicked out entirely. However, I do want to ask if I do end up being dismissed from the program, what other options do I have? I do wish to continue with nursing so I thought about doing the RN program at TCC. I just really need advice and some guidance because this isn't a place I thought I would ever be in and I really do want to get my RN.

I am a UTA student as well. Sorry for your struggles. I possible pass the classes. Drop your hours at work or get a better routine habit. If not you need to speak with a counselor in regards to dropping classes and how who this affect your re-entry if any, but definitely financial aid. Start looking at other programs to transfer too. Good luck.

By the way what two classes and what track are you on?>

I'm the On-campus program and the classes are OB and critical care. I've dropped the rest of my hours at work for the rest of the semester. Unfortunately, its way past the deadline to drop either class so I'm basically stuck with them until the final.
