First time to take the exam..shut off at 75 I got lots of prioritization, delegation, client teaching and infection control I think it was 90% of my exam . 3 SATA's, 2 pictures and 1 drag and drop no calculations.. all I can say that it was soooo damn HARD!!!! for content I got a few diabetes, maternal, pediatric, pharma, and oncology. did the pvt and I reached to credit card page..haven't checked the quick results yet but I'm sure I failed when the computer shut off and I knew that I would end the exam in 75 questions.. took me 2 hours. I got a question that doesn't make sense at all it took me 5 minutes to analyze the question and still not sure about my chosen answer..
with my preparation I actually burned myself out I would study 12 hours a day 7 days a week for four weeks then 2 weeks before my exam I just feel burned out and not studying anymore I would do questions but it wasn't retaining anymore..I got everything I need it's just my study plan didn't work out.
and yeah I read that if you got a lot of prioritization and sata's you're doing good..not true..I felt my questions were for higher levels I didn't get the memorized knowledge questions well very few probably 2 but It was mostly critical thinking questions.
It sucks but it's in the past now..will try again next time I'm totally not giving up this dream of mine..I'll just have to reevaluate myself and see where I did wrong. I thank God for giving me a supportive family and for those who failed the first time it's Ok you're not a failure this exam does not define who you really are.. keep your heads up and just do good the next time :)

First time I took the Nclex I failed with 75 Qs also and I had the same feeling that the Qs were high level Qs..I passed the second time with 90 Qs after 2 months of slow progressive studying... You already know what you did wrong dont burn yourself take breaks and reward yourself for every accomplishment you do.. Focus on your week points .. You can do it :)
thanks..I actually feel that I deserve to fail the first time lol I dunno it's weird..at least I know what to do the next time.. I was nervous and anxious too during the test it got me really bad my vision starts to get black and started to get a headache. will most def take it slow this time and really try to understand the content, question and etc.

So glad to hear your positive attitude! That's the spirit!!!
When I took the test last year, I was soooooooo nervous! I just wanted the test to end. Now, I know better to not let anxiety get the best of me. I now realize the importance of not just reading the question, but truly dissecting and understanding what the question is asking. And utilizing test-tasking strategies as part of being a successful test taker.
Good luck to you!

during the 2 weeks before my exam I just really want to get over it and end the anxiety.. I wasn't really prepared my mind set wasn't there got scared then just lost it coz I didn't know what to expect.. I think when you're preparing for this exam nursing knowledge isn't just enough..you have to be emotionally prepared and physically prepared..you have to be in good condition to pass the nclex. and testing strategies is sooo important.. I admit my testing strategies weren't that good that is one factor I failed..
