So I failed NCLEX for the 2nd time and I am feeling VERY very defeated. The first time I failed in 75 questions. This time around I failed with all 265. I studied so hard both times. I graduated school with a 3.65, I know I'm not stupid. I just can't pass this test. Any advice? Thank you guys

i would say a private nclex tutor would be a good investment. they can really help teach you how to take the test. and pinpoint where your going wrong.

First off- RELAX.
You are obviously very smart, so it seems like your problem is simply test anxiety. One of my best friends is extremely smart but works herself up everytime she takes a test and the test anxiety takes over her intelligence. She made it a priority to just relax the day of her test and she passed! Also, I know a CHARGE NURSE who failed the NCLEX 5 times but look at her now--running the show!Try getting a massage or taking a nice walk before your next attempt to clear your head. Also, try to avoid consuming too much caffeine or energy drinks the day of your test so you won't be jittery and anxious.
Secondly, I personally found Kaplan to be very useful, but it comes at a hefty price. If that is not an option for you try to get the Kaplan book used online for access to all the practice questions. There are also tons of free questions online, even a board game called RNtertainment! There are a lot of NCLEX resources out there but my friends and I agree that the best way to study is to do question after question, and be sure to read the rationales. Don't waste your time trying to review every subject you ever learned --try to learn how to play the game and answer their silly questions. Start with 10 a day then slowly increase to 100-200/day. It seems like an impossible feat, but a few days of having no life will help you reach your dreams! Remember safety and ABCs first!
Lately, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! You are smart, intelligent, and good enough. You made it through nursing school alive! don't let this test get you down.
"The lord upholds all those who fall and lifts up who are bowed down." Psalm 145:14
Good luck to you--YOU CAN DO IT!

thank you so much for your words of encouragement. I definitely have test anxiety. I do believe I am intelligent but just have to remind myself when it comes test time. I did do kaplan and still have about half the bank left. I will be getting more resources to use as well. Again, thank you for taking the time to reply to me!
