I am looking at the application for the HRSA faculty loan repayment program for my tremendous student loan from my MSN. there is a question about eligibility, regarding a disadvantaged background:
"The FLRP defines an individual from a disadvantaged background as one who comes from 1) an environment that has made obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities required to enroll in and graduate from a graduate or undergraduate school challenging for the individual, or 2) a family with an annual income below the established low-income thresholds."
Are they referring to ME, or the students in which I am teaching? I initially clicked 'no', assuming they were referring to me (although I can give them quite a story about what my life was like while going through my masters program).
I work in a school where many students fit into one or both of the above criteria.
Has Anyone here applied and/or received this money for loan repayment?
