Hello,
I am enrolled in Excelsior College and had considered using The College Network. Due to the cost of their guides, I elected to just enroll directly as I was under the impression that I could just purchase the guides and materials that I needed individually.
Well, I just received my first envelope with my first class information. I went to the Excelsior Bookstore and they have a Guided Learning Package that includes the Recommended Book, the Study Guide for said book, and an Excelsior-Spiral-Bound Guide. Is there any way to get that Excelsior-Spiral-Bound Guide for Free/Download? The reason I ask is because if I buy just the Recommended Books via other sources, I can get them for like half price!
On that note, does anyone have any opinions on the 'Other Recommended Resources'? Or should I just stick to the primary recommendations?

I never bought any books from the EC bookstore...buy them cheaper on half.com! Download the free course content guide and use a text that you could look up the content in....much cheaper! I bought the major recommended texts from half and looked up the info.

I bought the guided learning package for Micro and really that spiral bound "study guide" is crap. It is the content guide you can download for free and then "pointers" such as Read the chapter and answer the questions. Seriously I was pretty ticked off that I paid $20 bucks for it but I learned that lesson. So yes, the information you need is in the free download content guide.
