exams or classes??

Question?:

has anyone here took the 8 week online classes with EC? or does everyone just take the exams? I know prices vary but aside from that I feel like having the 8 week courses would help me by having a timeline and accountability... thoughts?

(I'm currently in the process of getting my associates in pre-nursing)

I personally took the 8 week classes for my Gen Ed. requirements and then switched over and just tested out of the Nursing classes. The bad side of taking the nursing classes VS. testing out is that you are only permitted two nursing classes per semester. So if you take the classes it would take you two years to complete the nursing classes. I averaged one test a week and knocked all 8 nursing exams out in 7 weeks total. I also was out of work with a broken foot and studied about 90 hours per test. I wouldn't recommend that pace if you are not highly motivated and disciplined to study.

Ive never heard of an associates in pre-nursing, what does that entail?

oh ok thank you for the info!

..its a AS degree with concentrations in pre-nursing classes for a 4 year degree... its all that excelsior requires plus the requirements of the universities around me to enter into the BSN program... plus all your gen ed requirements
