Exactly how does it work?

Hi all! :nuke: I am curious as to how many cases a CRNA works on average. I know it varies greatly from person to person. I guess I really don't understand what a day in the life a a CRNA would be like. So...if you work in the hospital and no one is receiving surgery that day what do you do? What type of different positions are out there, is there a website in which this info is available? Any input would be appreciated! Thanks in advance;)

The answer is--it depends on your practice setting. You may do 25 cataract cases or one 12 hour radical cancer surgery and everything in between. There are so many practice settings for nurse anesthetists that it is difficult to answer your question. The only thing for sure is that you can only do one anesthetic at a time.
