ER switch

I'm currently a nurse on a tele floor. I've been a nurse for two years and would really like to become an ER nurse. I started nursing by going through a residency program where I started in the ED. I loved it but I was advised to get experience on the floor first. I've been dying to go back but all the job postings are asking for emergency room experience. Will they even consider me with two years of step down experience?
