not enough CEUs

I have unfortunately renewed my license late and am now being audited. I do not have enough CEUs. Wondering what the penalty will be. BON site just says disciplinary action..... what is the action?

Did you claim to have sufficient CEU's when you renewed?

Do you have the CEUs now?

Did you take any nursing seminars, teach any nursing classes, do any presentations, take any nursing classes that may count even if not a formal CEU?

There was not an option to claim insufficient ceus. I changed jobs to utilization review. Ceu's that I once was able to get as a floor nurse are not available for my job class now. I really have just be complacent.... totally my fault.

The big citation is most often falsification of application for renewal by claiming CEUs finished when not complete.

Check the BoN to see if there are alternatives such as completing certain college level classes for credit or attending credits.

Complete CEUs now. More than for last and current renewal. You can do 30 CEUs in a few hours with a printable certificate for less than $50 at Western Schools. There is also nurse.com, cedirect.com, webmd.com and other sites.

You may have discipline marked on your license, a fine and must finish specific classes in a specified time ways such as ethics, etc.
