endorsement of

Hi everyone! I am a US citizen who studied nursing in the Philippines. I filed my application for NCLEX in california last september. i haven't received my eligibility yet. i am leaving for New York by january and am planning to stay there for at least a year before i stay in california for good. assuming that i pass my california nclex exam and get my license, can i apply for endorsement right away or do i have to work in california first? are there any restrictions upon receiving my california license?

thanks for all your time.

Because you trained in the Philippines you will still have to do CVS with NY as do all foreign trained nurses even for endorsement, may be worth checking them out regarding this as can take a few months. Also have you been in touch with CA and checking on your progress although can take a few months to get OK to sit exam. You do not need to work in CA first
