end of year test for LPNs

hi everyone.....i am in NY.....at the end of our school year for the PN program we had to take a state mandated test......it was like 37 bucks...

anyway....there were around 200 questions on this.....they say it is very comparable what you will do on the NCLEX.......did anyone else have to take this in their program?

Some of those questions were really really hard.....some of the stuff i do not even remember going over in classes.....some of the questions were really really stupidly easy.....

you get your score in about a week after taking it......mine was above average....and i came away from that test saying.....WOW......i didnt know a thing on that test....and they just graduated me........this is the ONLY thing that is keeping me from totally freaking out about this NCLEX!! hoping that it is somewhat comparable......

i suck at SATA....hate them......meds....if i am not around them and doing them....(not doing them, but passing them)i do not remember.....

my stomach has been a mess for weeks now.....the last 3 days have been BAD.....ab pains and everything i eat goes right thru me....everytime someone asks me about the NCLEX at work i get all panicy inside......i hate this....i take it the 22(aug)......

so about that state test???

thanks

PAULA:eek:

I attended an LVN program in California in 2005. Although our exit exam was not mandated by the state, our school required the students to pass it. If we did not pass, the school would refuse to send our paperwork to the board for eligibility to take the NCLEX. The school did this to keep their NCLEX pass rates artificially high.

Our exit exam was called the ERI (Educational Resources Inc.).
