EMS request

I'm a part time EMT in an area that serves a variety of residential camps. Recently, I responded to an EMS call at a camp. The facility had well trained, very professional staff who did a fantastic job prior to our arrival and in assisting us.

The staff had a printout ready for us with the child's demographic info and emergency contact info. There was a web address on this printout to a secure site for the hospital personnel to access the child's medical history. Arrangement's had already been made with the hospital in regards to this. Apparently it's a camp software program that's available- ensures that health info is kept confidential and is readily available to hospital personnel in an emergency.

Key word being "hospital personnel"- it left EMS in the dark. In this case I was able to obtain most of the key info from the patient, but not having med hx, allergies, daily med info available could make a critical difference in some circumstances.

What I'm asking is that if you have this type of software with the secure web access, to look at how you could make this info available to EMS personnel if necessary.

Maybe a print out?

I'm not familiar with it so I don't know.

Wow. That sounds amazing, do you have any idea what the program was?

I don't know what program it is, but if I can find out, I'll PM you.
