Emailing a Recruiter

Recently, I applied for a job and got an interview. I was put on the "Alternate list" - it's a bummer. I have emailed the recruiter and she told me I was 7 on the list. The position I was applying for is taking 20 new residents. I told her I am still interested in the position and to let me know if anything changes. She told that she is very close to my name and that I may hear from her FYI. That was 7 days ago... I know people who have gotten rejection letters, but I haven't. Any advice on what I should do? Should I email her again?

Thnx.

Since it's been a week, another polite follow-up email asking her to let you know either way couldn't hurt.

I am also an alternate for the position you are speaking of I think. I am very anxiously waiting to hear from the recruiter as well. I'm sure as soon as she has a spot open up for us she will let us know. But the wait is KILLING me.

Did you end up emailing her to get an update?

Yeah, she said no one else has decline so she may not get to my name /:
