Electronic Charting or Paper?

HI all - I'm from NY and was wondering about the charting in the NC hospitals. Are they electronic or still using paper? Here in NY all hospitals have to go electronic so most of them are already there, or just about.

If anyone knows specifically about NHRMC and Brunswick Community Hospital - please post!

THANKS!

It depends on which hospital, sometimes even which department. Ten years ago my first nursing job (med-surg) used electronic charting but the ER did not, though I discovered on a recent trip there that they do now. Now I'm at a different facility and the opposite is true. No specific info on the hospitals you mentioned, though.
