Hey!

I'm a struggling new grad like sooo many others, but I'm trying to stay positive  I want to beef up my resume w/ an ekg class, acls, & phlebotomy training. Does anyone know where I could go in massachusetts to get this training. I've tried searching the internet, but I've only come up with- AHA (just ACLS though), hospitals that give classes to their employees & an EMT training place that kinda looks like a scam...

I work in mass. too. If you find those courses, I want to take them as well! I need PALS but not acls

try looking up a local tech school or the continuing ed dept of your local community college, or call american red cross for a referral, hope that helps

Take a look at the major medical centers. Our regional academic center offers continuing education courses that can be attended by folks from the community - we just have to pay for it.

Search under "continuing nursing education."

Regarding phlebotomy, you might start at the state department of health services. I found some training programs that way. Also, just go ask some lab techs at the local hospitals and clinical labs. They'll know where are the phlebotomy schools.

Haha- I haven't found a job yet... I want to get these certifications so that I can increase my chances of getting a job. But I'll keep you posted.
