Education question

Published

If I have a paper to write for a course (nursing for a BSN), and I use a chart or graph in my paper, do I need to get permission from the author to "re-print" or is this only necessary when publishing in a journal or text? Of course I would cite the reference appropriately.

I hope I will get the hang of the returning to school thing. Nursing school was hard, but this is a different sort of hard.I am sure it will be worth it one day!

If you retrieved this graph from a nursing journal/ book and are ONLY submitting it as course work then no.....all you need to do is properly cite it on your "works cited" page. If you were planning to publish it or something then youd have copyright issues ...but not for course work.

You would only need to get premission to reprint if you were going to publish your work. If it is just for course work you just need to site your source.

Correct ... to all of the above... Good luck on your paper.....

Thanks alot you guys!:)
