Durham Tech Point System

I am hoping to get into Durham Tech next fall and I am wondering about their competitive point system they use to determine who gets in. I mostly just want to know what the average score was for people who got into the program. The way I see it is that if I take 4 prereqs before next February and get A's in all of them, the best I can get is 42 points out of 50 (I dont live in Orange county so I lose out on 5 points there and I wont be able to take Pathophysiology before the Feb 1st deadline). Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

When I attended an information session last May they said the cut off for Fall 2012 ended up being 40 points. They'll send out acceptance letters for Fall 2013 next month so you can see if the cut off increased any.

I'm in the DTCC nursing program now 2nd semester and I have MANY classmates who are from Cary, Raleigh, Chapel Hill etc so as long as you have all other requirements met I don't think you should have a problem.

Has anyone gotten their acceptance letter yet for fall 2013 ADN at Durham Tech?

I was accepted for the ADN program at DTCC for fall 2013. I received my acceptance via email on April 2nd 2013. I applied with 45 points. My friend also got in and he had 50 pts. Hope this helps. Good luck to you all.

Hi topaz1100 any advice you can offer about DTCC program? I will be applying there and WTCC. If you don't mind me asking, do you work during the week while in the program? How tough is it? How long did it take you to get in their program? Did you have all of your pre-reqs done before you applied? I know that's a lot of questions I'm just nervous and trying to get a feel of how it's gonna be....
