Drug screen issues

Hi everyone. I wanted to share an issue I'm having to see if anyone else has had the same problem. I quit a job after accepting a new job at a hospital. I was supposed to start orientation last week, but I received a call the night before stating that I cannot begin because of my drug screen results. I asked what happened, but told me she could not share the results but that I couldn't start oreintation at this time. I was shocked and devastated. After coming up with every worst case scenario in my mind (I have never touched drugs) I resolved to drive to the hospital first thing in the morning to find out what was going on. It turns out that my test was negative but diluted, and I can't start until the results of my second test are in. I had drank two cups of coffee before my 9 a.m. test, completely unaware that I could mess up my test by drinking coffee (since the caffeine is a diuretic). Now I'm just waiting around for a phone call telling me I can come to work. I hope they don't make me wait a whole month for the next round of hospital orientation! Has anyone else ever innocently failed a drug test and had to suffer the consequences?!
