Anyone had this happen??

I called the admissions advisor to follow up on my application to Drexel's program. She said..."Hi, yes, the committee has made a decision, and I will have the letter out to you as soon as they decide on an interview date." So I said "Oh great! I will be interviewing then." And she said, ''I can't give you that information over the phone, but the letters will be out within the next week standard mail."

What does that mean?! At first it sounded good, but now I'm unsure...I mean why can't she tell me over the phone. The others schools I am interviewing at in the next 3 weeks have all told me over the phone. Thanks!

Hi wnabsrna~ Don't think too much into this. I have been accepted to attend Drexel's Accelerated BSN program in the Fall, and the woman that I spoke to over the phone could only tell me that a decision was made in regards to my application and that letters had been sent out. She would not tell me whether or not I had been accepted. Don't worry too much about this. You'll get the letter soon, and as frustrating as it is to wait, that's most likely going to be the only way you'll find out. Whether you are accepted for an interview or not she would have told you that she couldn't give you that information. GOOD LUCK!! Hope that letter comes quick and you get good news!

just curious, did you reallly need to have the 2yrs ICU experience b4 getting into drexels program. i'm wondering if they'll take someone with 1yr experience.

You can interview before you have all of your ICU experience. I am interviewing with 1 1/2 years, but by the time I start I will have more than 2 years. So yes, they really don't bend on the 2 year thing. You will be accepted contingent upon 2 years of experience...

thanks a lot for your response.
