Everyone keeps saying to take whatever you can get in this economy as a new grad. But once you get that one year in, let's say in a rehab facility, are you really going to get that ER or ICU job you want so badly in a hospital? I guess you just have a better shot than before -_-

Yeah, that's pretty much all that's guaranteed :/
IMO, any nursing experience is better than no experience...a year working LTC or rehab must look better to a nurse recruiter than a year working at Starbucks or worse, not working at all.

There is never a guarantee that you get the job you want. Experience and education just give you a better chance.
