for those of you that are on your state's cna registry...
are you working as a cna?
a few months ago, i got a part-time job as a cna. the hours were very minimal (7 a.m. - 3 p.m. saturday and sunday). i didn't feel like it was enough to really learn the ropes and honestly, when i took the job, i thought i'd be eligible for health insurance. it turns out i wasn't and i decided that that particular job just wasn't for me.
fast forward, and i am working full-time in a life insurance call center. it is boring me to tears and i just really do not like being on the phones all day. it makes me a bit sad that the knowledge i gained during cna training, really has gone to the way-side, and more and more, i'm entertaining the idea of applying for some clerical positions in the local hospital that smile upon applicants that are on the cna registry.
are any of you on your state's cna registry and do not work as cna's? i am extremely proud of this accomplishment in my life and i'd really like to put it towards some use, although, i'm not really sure i want to be a cna...
tia!
