Do transcripts need to specific lab components?

My transcript states the number of credits/units for the science courses and grade, but doesn't make any mention of a lab. At other schools, I have noticed transcripts there mention about a lab. For example, "Microbiology and Lab." Is there a difference?

No. As long as the course description in the school catalog indicates there is a lab, you are good to go. BTW, it is a good idea to get a copy of the college catalog in force when you began attending. Schools that give separate credit for the lab portion of courses will clearly list the courses with the words "lab" used so there is no question.
