Do All Crna Programs Require You To Be Licensed In That State?

I'm pretty sure you need to have an RN license in whatever state you are going to school in, b/c you are working as an RN that's going to school for an advanced degree in nursing. It's not hard to get a license in another state. There aren't any test, but you will have to fill out an app., get finger prints taken, etc. Call the board of nursing in the state you are interested in, and they will let you know the whole process. You could also look online. Unfortunately, you will have fees. I've had a license in AZ, MO, and OH. OH was the most expensive and time-consuming. Good luck.

I think for the most part that you don't have to have a license in the state where the school is until you start school. So for example, I live in IL and am applying to school in MN and OH. I only have a current license in IL and if I end up going to school in MN or OH then I'll get a license there. You don't have to have the license just to apply.

Yeh, I agree w/ above. I wouldn't go getting a license in every state you plan on applying for school in. Once you are accepted to a school you'll have plenty of time to apply and receive an RN license.

jls189 has the right idea, touch much time and money are invested when trying to get a license for every app. usually a school only requires a lic. before class starts, which will me at least four months after u r accepted.
